From Healing to Storytelling: My Path to the Book Industry through digital media

Hello and welcome! My name is Stacy Britt. I’m currently a student at Arizona State University, majoring in English with a minor in Digital Media Literacy. I have a deep love of literature, and I’ve always been captivated by the power of words and the way stories can shape our understanding of the world. Whether it’s classic novels, contemporary fiction, or the ever-evolving world of audio storytelling, I find great joy in exploring and analyzing the written words.
My goal is to work in the book industry, ideally in marketing or editing. I’m transitioning from a career in the medical field, and while it may seem like a big leap, I see so many connections between the two. I love the idea of bringing books to the masses, helping stories find their readers, and refining narratives to make them as compelling as possible. As the publishing world continues to evolve rapidly, I’m excited to be part of that transformation, bridging traditional literature with new media platforms.
